University Core

 

The Ministry of Education (MOE) requires all students to take Mata Pelajaran Umum (MPU) (i.e. General Studies) which is categorised under U1, U2, U3 and U4 within the duration of their studies. U1 modules are prescribed by MOE whereas U2, U3 and U4 modules are from a list of University Core Modules (UCM) prescribed as per the Programme Guide.

Prerequisites

 

SPM / O-Level with Pre-U / Foundation

Pass SPM / O-Level or equivalent with 5 credits (including credits in Mathematics and pass in English) for entry with pre-university/ foundation qualification (Except for UEC)

SPM / O-Level with Diploma

Pass SPM / O-Level or equivalent with 3 credits for entry with Diploma qualification.

Taylor's Foundation

Pass any Taylor's Foundation programme with minimum CGPA 2.50

Taylor's Diploma

Pass any Taylor's Diploma in Finance, Banking, Insurance or related field with a minimum CGPA of 2.50

Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM)

Minimum Grade C+ (GPA 2.33) in any two subjects

Unified Examination Certificate (UEC)

Minimum 5Bs with a maximum of 26 points including Mathematics and a pass in English. Candidates without a Grade B in UEC Mathematics and a pass in UEC English may be admitted if the candidate has a credit in Mathematics and a pass in English at SPM or equivalent

A Level

Minimum DD 

AUSMAT (SACEi) 

Minimum ATAR 60

Canadian Pre-University (CPU)

Minimum average of 55% in 6 subjects

International Baccalaureate (IB)

Minimum 26 points and above for 6 subjects

Monash University Foundation Year (MUFY)

Overall 60%

 

Other Equivalent Qualifications

  • Business Foundation from other accredited institutions with a minimum CGPA of 2.50
  • Diploma in Finance, Banking, Insurance or a related field from an accredited institution with a minimum CGPA of 2.50
  • Other foundation, matriculation/high school certificates/ diploma (Year 12) from other accredited institution with minimum CGPA of 2.50
  • Application via APEL A is allowed

 

Notes

  1. Candidates without a credit in Mathematics and pass in English at SPM level or its equivalent may be admitted if the STPM / Matriculation / Foundation programme contains subjects in Mathematics and English that are equivalent and achieved higher at SPM level.
