About the Course
Assistant Medical Officers (AMOs), also known as Medical Assistants, are indispensable to the day-to-day operations of medical practices and healthcare settings. Their roles are vital in both hospital environments and community-based clinics, where they work in close collaboration with Medical Officers, handling a wide array of tasks from administrative responsibilities to clinical care. AMOs significantly contribute to patient management, ensuring the healthcare system operates smoothly and efficiently.
The Diploma in Medical and Health Science at Management and Science University (MSU) offers a well-rounded and comprehensive education designed to provide students with a robust foundation in elementary medical sciences. This program goes beyond classroom learning, integrating a practical approach that includes extensive exposure to real-world healthcare settings. Students will train in simulation wards, hone their skills in modern laboratories, and receive first-hand clinical experience through attachments at hospitals and community health clinics.
During their clinical placements, students will actively engage in patient care, medical procedures, and the daily operations of healthcare facilities, working alongside experienced Medical Officers and healthcare professionals. This hands-on experience is invaluable, preparing graduates to confidently transition into the workforce and meet the practical demands of their future careers. This combination of education and real-world training ensures that students are fully prepared to meet the evolving needs of the healthcare system.
