Programme Overview

UNIRAZAK’s Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) is designed for aspiring and practising educators who wish to build strong professional foundations in teaching and learning. The programme equips students with essential knowledge, practical skills, and professional attributes to function effectively in diverse educational settings.

The PGDE emphasises the development of key competencies such as teacher leadership, teamwork, instructional decision-making, critical and analytical thinking, and basic project management related to teaching and school operations. Each course is carefully structured to ensure relevance, practicality, and alignment with current educational needs in supporting UNIRAZAK’s mission to produce quality graduates with strong workplace readiness.

Designed with working adults in mind, the programme is delivered through Open Distance Learning (ODL), offering flexibility without compromising academic rigour. Students engage in problem-based learning that integrates real workplace or on-site teaching experiences, enabling immediate application of theory to practice.

Led by experienced educators with expertise spanning early childhood to tertiary education, UNIRAZAK’s PGDE offers a recognised pathway to professional teacher certification. It is ideal for in-service teachers seeking career advancement, as well as individuals aspiring to become qualified, competent, and impactful educators.
