Step into a highly specialised and in-demand profession with UNIRAZAK’s Bachelor of Taxation (Honours), a truly unique programme offered only at UNIRAZAK in Malaysia, and possibly the world. Designed in collaboration with industry experts, this niche degree responds directly to the growing need for skilled tax professionals in an increasingly complex regulatory environment.
Accredited by the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA), the programme offers in-depth coverage of both direct and indirect taxation, equipping students with practical knowledge, analytical skills, and professional confidence to succeed in the field of taxation.
What sets this programme apart is its strong professional advantage. Students are eligible for exemptions from 7 out of 8 papers of the Chartered Tax Institute of Malaysia (CTIM) professional examinations. This means students can graduate within three (3) years with both a bachelor’s degree and a CTIM professional qualification, giving them a powerful edge in the job market.
Graduates enjoy excellent career prospects across a wide range of organisations, including Lembaga Hasil Dalam Negeri (LHDN), the Royal Malaysian Customs Department (RMCD), multinational companies, accounting and audit firms, and tax consulting practices.
Beyond employment, the programme also opens the door to entrepreneurship. With relevant work experience, graduates may apply for a tax agent licence under Section 153(3) of the Income Tax Act 1967, enabling them to establish their own tax consultancy and build a rewarding professional practice.
