MASTER OF SCIENCE IN ENGINEERING BUSINESS MANAGEMENT

Master programmes by coursework offered by the Faculty of Artificial Intelligence and Engineering (FAIE). Each of this programme has its unique aims whereby M.Eng Tele aims to provide a formal framework for professional development of working engineers so that they can update their knowledge and upgrade their competency in the telecommunications field. A special elective subject, Special Topics on Emerging Technologies & Standards, has also been designed to enable the students to acquire more up-to-date knowledge on any new emerging technology or standards. M.Sc. EBM introduces candidates to a broad range of management and business techniques, as well as equip the students with the skills in managing complex business problems faced by technology and engineering companies. The programme covers both business and technology subjects.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Applicants must meet one of the following criteria:

1. A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Management, or related fields with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 or equivalent, as accepted by the Senate; OR
2. A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Management, or related fields with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 but below 2.50 or equivalent, as accepted by the Senate, subject to rigorous internal assessment; OR
3. A Bachelor’s degree in non-related fields with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 or equivalent and at least two (2) years of relevant working experience, as accepted by the Senate, subject to rigorous internal assessment; OR
4. A Bachelor’s degree in non-related fields with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 or equivalent without meeting the minimum two (2) years of relevant working experience, as accepted by the Senate, subject to rigorous internal assessment and passing prerequisite courses; OR
5. Other equivalent or related qualifications to a Bachelor’s degree recognised by the Malaysian Government.

English Entry Requirement:

Applicants must meet one of the following English proficiency requirements:

• Minimum IELTS overall band score of 5.0, or its equivalent.*

* In addition to the above, any other English qualification of an equivalent level, as determined by the University Senate, may be accepted.

English Requirement Waiver

The English language requirement is waived for applicants who:

• Are native English speakers, or
• Have completed their entry qualification with English as the medium of instruction.
