Course Overview

Master programmes by coursework offered by the Faculty of Artificial Intelligence and Engineering (FAIE). Each of this programme has its unique aims whereby M.Eng Tele aims to provide a formal framework for professional development of working engineers so that they can update their knowledge and upgrade their competency in the telecommunications field. A special elective subject, Special Topics on Emerging Technologies & Standards, has also been designed to enable the students to acquire more up-to-date knowledge on any new emerging technology or standards. M.Sc. EBM introduces candidates to a broad range of management and business techniques, as well as equip the students with the skills in managing complex business problems faced by technology and engineering companies. The programme covers both business and technology subjects.

The curriculum blends both technical and research/project components, culminating in a final project.

Some electives — especially advanced or niche ones — may be offered subject to faculty availability each semester.

Entry Requirements

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Applicants must meet one of the following criteria:

  1. A Bachelor’s degree in a related field with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 or equivalent, as accepted by the Senate; OR
  2. A Bachelor’s degree in a related field with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 but below 2.50 or equivalent, as accepted by the Senate, subject to rigorous internal assessment; OR
  3. A Bachelor’s degree in a non-related field with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 or equivalent, and at least two (2) years of relevant working experience, as accepted by the Senate, subject to rigorous internal assessment; OR
  4. A Bachelor’s degree in a non-related field with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 or equivalent, without meeting the minimum two (2) years of relevant working experience, as accepted by the Senate, subject to rigorous internal assessment and completion of prerequisite courses; OR
  5. Other equivalent or related qualifications to a Bachelor’s degree that are recognised by the Malaysian Government.

 

English Entry Requirement:

Applicants must achieve a minimum IELTS overall band score of 5.0 or its equivalent.

  • In addition to the qualifications listed above, any other equivalent qualification may be considered, subject to approval by the Senate of the University.
  • The English language requirement is waived for applicants who are native English speakers or who have completed their entry qualification with English as the medium of instruction.

ENGLISH LANGUAGE REQUIREMENT

International students must demonstrate proficiency in English. A minimum score of 5.0 for IELTS or its equivalent. Accepted English language tests include:

Minimum score requirements are subject to Multimedia University and visa regulations.
