FOUNDATION IN MANAGEMENT

Course Description

Management, finance and business skills are essential in today’s competitive global economy. The Foundation in Management is a one-year preparatory programme designed to equip students with fundamental academic knowledge, analytical ability and adaptability before progressing into undergraduate studies in management, finance and business disciplines. Upon successful completion, students may progress into relevant degree programmes offered by the Faculty of Management or Faculty of Business at Multimedia University, subject to meeting progression requirements.

STUDENTS’ REQUIREMENTS

International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE)
Minimum Grade C in five (5) subjects, including English.

O Level
Pass with a minimum Grade C in five (5) subjects, including English.

UEC
Minimum Grade B in three (3) subjects, inclusive of English, OR Grade C in English at SPM / O-Level standard.

Other Qualifications
Any other equivalent qualification recognised by the Malaysian Government and Multimedia University.

Prerequisites Requirement

Students intending to progress into Bachelor of Accounting (Hons.), Bachelor of Finance (Hons.) and Bachelor of Financial Engineering (Hons.) must obtain a credit in Mathematics at SPM / O-Level or equivalent upon completion of the Foundation programme.

ENGLISH LANGUAGE REQUIREMENT

International students must demonstrate proficiency in English. Accepted English language tests include:
IELTS
TOEFL
MUET
PTE Academic
Cambridge English (CAE / CPE)

Minimum score requirements are subject to Multimedia University and visa regulations.

OTHER IMPORTANT DOCUMENTS

English translations of academic documents (if not originally in English)
Release Letter and Visa Cancellation Letter (for applicants transferring from other institutions in Malaysia)
Original Sponsorship / Scholarship Letter (if applicable)
School Leaving Certificate (for high school graduates)

Resume / Character Reference Letter (for applicants above 23 years old, as required by Malaysian Immigration)
